Red flag 1) Cost- fine print under the pricing

Automatic renew is a common practice for many APPs. However, the honest site would state such information with regular letter size, so the user is fully aware of the costs. Such small grey print indicates Lovoo is not fully honest with us.

After the first subscription period has expired, your contract will automatically renew for the selected period. All prices include VAT. However, you can terminate your Premium membership with 24 hours' notice before the end of the first period via the contact form, by letter, fax, or email.

Red flag 2) Liked only by "New on Lovoo users"
I've got 2 likes within two days from "New on Lovoo users," so I need to pay to chat with them. This may be a coincidence, but I would call it a warning sign or ugly trick to lure me into buying Premium.
Red flag 3) Accused of using a fake account in the past
In 2016, the two founders of mobile dating giant LOVOO were arrested after police entered their offices across Germany. The prosecutors said the arrests were connected with allegations that the company used fake profiles to lure customers into paying for the dating site's premium service.
In 2017 Lovoo was purchased by Meet Group, which includes apps like MeetMe, Skout, Tagged, and Hi5. So the experience before 2017 after acquisition may be different as the owner changed.
Red flag 4) Fake profiles
I've checked around ten profile pictures and checked them in Google Graphics. One profile photo was used on some other blogs. If you can find pictures on Google Graphics, the user hasn't used any effort to retouch the photo stolen from social media like Instagram or Facebook to make it unfindable.
Scammers and catfishes exist on every dating site and apps. The biggest dating APPs like Tinder, Hinge, Bubble... all have fake profiles there. You can't do anything about it. Still, I would call it a warning sign.

I've got a message from girls with an advertisement for other dating sites. This email was removed the next day, so there are some moderation AI or real people.

One woman among the 4 answered my message. I've uploaded average looking photo and no description. Not the one that makes women puke when they see my face but definitely not very attractive.
I wanted to know if I will have messages and likes from beautiful girls, revealing that women who write to me are fake. On Tinder, I would have no match at all with such a profile. Here I've got little sign of interest which is good. If many girls wanted to meet, it indicates the site is a scam. Little interest may be just beginner's luck. Still, the success rate with my average picture, no description, and the simple first message is unreasonably high.
Positive sings) Beautiful ladies don't write to me first

You can start a conversation with four women every 24h ( 4 icebreakers) with a free account. Reasonable enough to test if you can meet someone here or not. If you cannot get a date with a free account, it will not happen with Premium. If we can chat only with scammers for free, then with Premium, it will not change too much.
Should you pay for Premium or Credits?
In my view, as I said before, it's too expensive for the limited number of users. However, if you can get dates from lovvo.com or Lovoo app, then you may consider paid account.

See who visited your profile or liked you in Match straight away - I would not get excited about seeing my profile as many dating sites use it to lure users into buying a PRemium account. I don't have any proof if Lovoo.com Likes and Matches are genuine or coming from a scammer account. However, the most important is if we had any actual date.
Chat with newly registered people near you before everyone else - If the new users are real (you cannot write to them for free), Usually the more recent women's profile, the more messages she got in the beginning. Still, she replies more in the beginning than when she is longer on the site.

How to cancel Premium?
If you don't cancel your fee-based subscription 24 hours before the expiry, it will renew automatically for another period.
Cancellation must be carried out in iTunes or the Apple Play Store for a subscription that has been purchased or signed up for via iTunes or the Apple App Store. LOVOO cannot carry out reversal charges/cancellations due to technical restrictions of these stores.
Subscriptions that have been signed up for via other payment providers can be canceled directly via the respective provider and in text form (by fax and email) or written document (by letter) with respect to LOVOO. In the event of cancellation, the user must specify the user account's email address for which the subscription is active. Otherwise, allocation to the user account is not possible.

If you live in a country where this APP is popular, it is worth trying for free and seeing if you have any actual dates. Expect some scammers behind the profiles, so if you meet a girl, don't assume she is real until you have at least a video chat with her. There are defiantly real people on this site and scammers whom you can find on any dating site.
